Italian Opera live organization

The Cultural Association Italian Opera Live was founded in 2014 out of the desire and passion to pass on our regional and national musical and artistic cultural heritage, envied all over the world. The proven experience of the founding members of the organization in the fields of art, theatre, public relations and administration has made every culturally interesting and innovative project and initiative possible. Particular attention has been paid to traditional regional folk music, Italian Opera, Operetta and the most beautiful Neapolitan songs that are famous worldwide.

The association has also increasingly collaborated with other ODV structures in other parts of Italy and abroad in order to import and export an all-round musical and artistic culture. We often had guests from different parts of the world such as the USA, Cyprus, Spain, France, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, etc…..

All of the above has made it possible for our Association today to make use of professionals with proven experience in the artistic and theatrical field both nationally and internationally, with its staff of professional opera singers, pianists, musicians and dancers.

 

In the numerous concerts that we perform throughout the year, we make use above all of the collaboration of young Sicilian opera singers, acting as a ‘training ground’ for their continued artistic growth.

 

Italian Opera Live organised more of 1000 events between 2014 and today with approximately 100,000 spectators.

 

The Italian Opera Live association created and registered with the SIAE a format called ‘Italian Opera’, which was immediately realised through the now famous Musical Kermesse ‘ITALIAN OPERA TAORMINA‘.

 

The show “Italian Opera Taormina” is a timeless journey into Italian Opera and lasts about one hour and 30 minutes. The idea was to create a light-hearted show aimed at anyone, neophyte or aficionado, breaking down the belief that opera is music only for the few… During the show, the most famous arias and duets of the internationally renowned Italian opera repertoire are performed. Italian Opera Taormina, in fact, takes the audience on a magical journey through Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Rossini, using the best opera voices on the national and international scene accompanied, in the auditorium, by equally virtuoso pianists.

 

In 2016, another annual initiative was launched under the name ‘Taormina International Music Festival‘, of which the famous soprano Katia Ricciarelli was the patroness of the opening night, together with other artists of great international standing.

 

In the various editions, as many as 55 performances were organised with internationally renowned guests from all over the world.

 

In addition, several performances are organised each year exclusively for an audience of children and young people with the aim of accompanying the new generation into the wonderful world of music, fun and magic that only Italian opera can provide; and concerts entitled ‘Donatori di Musica’ performed at several hospitals in Sicily.

 

His recording activity also includes the publication of a CD entitled ‘Italian Opera – Live in Taormina’ with the participation of soprano and Artistic Director Silvia Di Falco and pianist Diego Fiorini recorded live in Taormina in 2015 at the San Giorgio Theatre.

 

Finally, worthy of note, is the ‘Lions Day Awards 2017’ presented in June 2017 to our President and Artistic Director Silvia Di Falco, as the creator of the musical event ‘Italian Opera Taormina’, for having distinguished himself among the Sicilian realities of dissemination of Italian culture in the world.
