Born in Catania in 1988, he began studying opera singing in 2015 with Maestro Filippo Piccolo and later with Maestro Pietro Ballo. In September 2015, he joined the Coro Lirico Siciliano of Catania, directed by Maestro Francesco Costa, and made his debut as a chorister in Macau, performing a Sacred Concert for the Macau International Music Festival at the Church of St. Dominic, as well as at the Macau Theatre in a production of Faust by C. Gounod, under the direction of Maestro Lu Jia.
Upon returning from Macau, he participated with the Coro Lirico Siciliano in the Bellini Celebrations held at the Mother Church of Viagrande (CT). He later took part with the same choir in I Percorsi del Sacro – Borsa del Turismo delle Regioni at the Mother Church of Santa Venerina (CT), and with the Incanto Mediterraneo Association in the operetta Cin Ci Là by C. Lombardo, performed at the Leonardo Sciascia Theatre in Aci Bonaccorsi and at the Cine-Teatro Politeama in Caltagirone.
The year 2016 began with the Grand New Year’s Concert at the Placido Mandanici Theatre in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME), where he performed Misa Criolla by A. Ramirez and Carmina Burana by C. Orff with the Coro Lirico Siciliano. In February, he participated in the Agatina Music Week, a series of Sacred Concerts dedicated to the Patron Saint of Catania, at the Monumental Church of the Badia di Sant’Agata, performing Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini, Missa Brevis Cantantibus Organis by Maestro Francesco Costa, and a selection of sacred choral works by various local composers.
In April, he joined the choir of the Teatro Politeama of Lecce in a production of Rigoletto by G. Verdi, under the direction of Maestro Francesco Ledda. In June, he participated with the Coro Lirico Siciliano in the production of Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, directed by the renowned baritone Maestro Alberto Gazale and conducted by Maestro Gianna Fratta, also performing Carmina Burana by C. Orff.
In August, again at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, as part of August in Opera by the Taormina Opera Stars Foundation, he took part in productions of Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni and Tosca by G. Puccini. Later that month, he performed in a concert at the Mother Church of Biancavilla, where the Coro Lirico Siciliano was awarded the title “Ambassador of Bel Canto in the World.”
In September, he participated in Falstaff by G. Verdi at the Giuseppe Di Stefano Theatre – Villa Margherita in Trapani, as part of the choir of Luglio Musicale Trapanese, directed by Maestro Fabio Modica. In October, he joined the choir of the Ente Concerti Marialisa De Carolis in Sassari, under Maestro Antonio Costa, in a production of Un Ballo in Maschera by G. Verdi at the Teatro Comunale of Sassari.
In December, he participated with the Coro Lirico Siciliano in a tour in China, performing at the theatres of Tianjin and Harbin in productions of Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni, Pagliacci by R. Leoncavallo, Turandot by G. Puccini, Carmina Burana by C. Orff, a gala concert with the Coro Lirico Siciliano, and a gala concert featuring the renowned tenor José Carreras.
In June 2017, he joined the season of Luglio Musicale Trapanese as a chorister in productions of Aida by G. Verdi, La Cenerentola by G. Rossini, and La Bohème by G. Puccini, where he also performed as the Customs Sergeant. In October, he again performed with the Ente Concerti Marialisa De Carolis choir in Turandot by G. Puccini at the Teatro Comunale of Sassari. That same month, he participated in the Scontrino International Festival, playing Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini.
In November, at the Franco Zappalà Theatre in Palermo, he debuted in the roles of Cesare Angelotti and the Jailer in Tosca by G. Puccini, under the direction of Maestro Bernardini. In March 2018, he reprised these roles in Tosca at the Metropolitan Theatre in Catania, directed by Maestro Miraglia.
In October 2018, he returned to the Scontrino International Festival, playing Don Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart. In February 2019, he began studying with Maestro Giovanni Guagliardo at the YAP Academy of Maestro Marcello Giordani. In July 2019, he performed in Tosca by G. Puccini, produced by the YAP Academy, as Cesare Angelotti in Augusta.
In August, he debuted as Timur in Turandot by G. Puccini at the Ancient Theatre of Syracuse, produced by YAP, and as the King in Aida by G. Verdi at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, organized by Mythos Opera Festival. In September, he reprised the role of Timur at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina in the same YAP production.
In January 2020, he participated as a chorister in the opening concert of the symphonic season and in the opera Palla de’ Mozzi, which opened the opera season at the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari.
In June 2021, he reached the semifinals of the Giuseppe Di Stefano International Opera Competition in Trapani, organized by Luglio Musicale Trapanese. In September 2021, he was a finalist in the Bellinian Voices International Competition, organized by the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania. In October 2021, he reached the semifinals of the San Colombano Competition in Piacenza, and in December 2021, he also reached the semifinals of the Nicolaj Ghiaurov International Opera Competition.
Between April and May, he participated in the concert tour I Peccati di Vecchiaia by G. Rossini, organized by Camerata Polifonica Siciliana and Associazione Anfiteatro, alongside soprano Claudia Ceraulo, accompanied on piano by Maestro Rosario Cicero.
In April 2022, he debuted as Alidoro in La Cenerentola by G. Rossini, produced by Associazione Europa InCanto, at the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome, the Teatro Rendano in Cosenza, and the Roman Theatre of Ostia Antica, and in December at the San Carlo Theatre in Naples and the Flavio Vespasiano Theatre in Rieti.
In October 2023, he performed as a bass soloist in Mozart’s Requiem at the Marcello Giordani Memorial. In August 2024, he will debut as Uberto in La Serva Padrona by Pergolesi in Regalbuto, as Zuniga in Carmen, and as Zio Bonzo in Madama Butterfly at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, with Sicilia Classica Festival.
In September, he will perform with the Teatro Massimo choir in Turandot and return to Taormina’s Ancient Theatre as the Doctor in La Traviata with Sicilia Classica Festival.
